Rebecca was born into a family of passionate gardeners in 'sunny’ Scotland. Growing up surrounded by plants and trees, Rebecca discovered an appreciation for the natural world. After working in the City, she sought a more creative path that would allow her to combine her affinity for design with her enduring fascination with plants and greenery.
In 2013, Rebecca acquired Fake It, and the business has flourished ever since. The diversity of the work is what drives her. “One day we’re planting the rooftop of Battersea Power Station, the next we’re ruining our hair with a high vis hard hat, touring the bowels of the development of the Old War Office. Each project presents its own challenges and rewards”.
At the heart of the studio's philosophy is her commitment to sourcing exceptional pieces that truly reflect each client's vision. Leading by example, Rebecca doesn't believe in compromise. Whether designing for corporate offices, luxury hotels, or private residences, her approach remains the same: to deliver installations that bring lasting beauty and satisfaction.

Jonathan - Design Director
Jonathan’s early years were spent obsessing over all thing’s nature with Attenborough being one of his childhood hero’s (alongside Luke Skywalker). With a house and garden full of very well cared for plants, his knowledge of all things green adds to his artistry with all things faux.
His design history began while studying at Central Saint Martin’s University of the arts, with a career path which led to him designing shoes for Jimmy Choo, Mulberry, Emilio Pucci, his own shoe line and a design director position at Top Shop.
After a brief period of property renovation and hospitality design, Jonathan joined Fake It in 2019. Embracing the more challenging projects that require a more unorthodox design approach, he always strives to give the client a final product that is not only innovative and aspirational, but a perfectly tailored experience.
YADE - Studio Co-ordinator
Growing up in the visual feast that is Istanbul, Yade's studies in architecture led her to London, where she developed an understanding of spatial design and the interplay between form and function. Prior to joining the Fake It team, she gained additional experience in both high-end interior and architectural firms.
“This architectural background naturally translates to the work we do at Fake It”. “The principles remain familiar; understanding scale, proportion, and the way people move through and inhabit spaces, but now applied to botanical design. It means looking beyond individual arrangements to consider how greenery can transform entire environments while complementing architectural features”.
With typical Fake It spirit, Yade is involved in concept design and installations as well as day to day client sales.
Within a short period at Fake It, Yade was promoted to head of dog petting and afternoon snack runs.
